Perhaps I should explain. My one-year-old had a red spot on her leg earlier that day, so I had put some Vaseline on her leg. I also had talked about skinned knees with my son that day, and my three-year-old was paying apt attention, as usual. It seems that gasoline and Vaseline are somewhat similar in sound, and skinned is kind of like skinny. So, my daughter was simply asking for Vaseline on her [pretend] owie on her legs. This was part of her nightly ploy to avoid bedtime.
She comes up with some good ones.
