The Good News: I fit into my wedding dress! That's amazing for three kids and eight years later.
The Bad News: I can't breathe while wearing my wedding dress. It's snug, but hey, I can still zip it, and that is what counts, right?

Boys and Girls
It continually amazes me how different little boys and little girls act. Now I know that I only have two little girls (and one a baby and is not really included in this post), and only one little boy, so it's a horrible scientific study because the sample pool is so small and there is no control group or study organization. But it's still amazing how my two oldest can play so different, and sometimes so alike.
Playing trains
My Boy: Sets up the tracks, makes bridges, lines up the trains, hauls cargo.
My Girl: Trains talk to each other, there are mommy and daddy trains and baby trains.
Playing Babies
My Boy: Babies take daring stroller rides, babies drive tractor, babies end up with concussions.
My Girl: Babies get fed and undressed, babies get put to bed, everyone is "shushed."
Playing Tractors
My Boy: Figures out what work to do that day, delegates to his sister what she is to drive.
My Girl: Drives delegated piece of equipment, has to have her own tractor.
Playing in the Sandbox
My Boy: Sand is everywhere, in clothes, in shoes, occasionally in hair. Lots of fun.

I also find it interesting that they fight fairly often at home, but when there are out they watch out for each other and are best buds. We are truly wonderfully made.

Pink
She really likes pink.
Today she acquired some pink sunglasses. Not just pink frames, but pink lenses, too. Did you know pink lenses make everything else look pink? This is her dream-come-true. She walked into the bathroom and was thrilled because we now have a pink potty.

Conversation
Son: "I think we should have some more babies. Three more."
Me: "Well, you'll have to pray about that, and babies take a long time, and we probably won't have any anytime soon, especially three."
Son: "Well, then can Grandma and Grandpa have some babies?"
Me: "Umm, I think Grandma is a little too old to have a baby."
Son: "Yeah, and Grandma is too short to have a baby, too."
Daughter: "I think Grandma is just right."

Activities
I'm working on planning the creative activities for my local Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group. I have a few ideas that I got off the MOPS website. I need three or four activities. Here are some of my top picks:
1) Make a microwavable hot pack filled with wheat.
2) Make some simple first aid kits for the car.
3) Homemade valentines for Valentines' Day.
4) Fabric covered memo board hung with a pretty ribbon.
5) Artistically beaded darts to throw at husbands when they forget to take out the garbage.
6) Monster spray. This is an aromatheraputic (I think I made that word up - it means: smells good) spray that we would mix and put into bottles labeled "monster spray." The spray could be sprayed on the child's bed or in the room to repel monsters.
7) I SPY bottle. This is a water bottle filled with rice and little "things" like a paper clip, beads, small toys, a ring, etc. There is a list of the things on the outside of the bottle and you have to turn and shake the bottle to find the items. This is a great "quiet" or travel toy.
8) Boo-boo bunnies. A cold pack in the shape of a bunny, good for comforting owies.
9) Placemat purses. These are cute purses made from a single fabric placemat (currently on clearance at Target).
Tough decisions. :) Please help me out and vote for your top one or two or three...
