I made it.

I survived the lasik. It was freaky. I kind of had to watch it because my eyes were peeled open. Did I mention it was freaky?
My eyes are a bit dry and tired, but I can see. It will probably take a while for my eyes to get fully healed up. I have lots of different eye drops to put in at various increments throughout the day.
I have some sexy goggles now. I wear them at night and most of the day, too, just to protect my eyes from scratching or rubbing or flying-toddler-hands.
Yeah, that's about it. For now. Hopefully I'll get all healed up soon!

Lasers

On Thursday I have LASIK surgery scheduled. Tomorrow. You know, that surgery for very nearsighted me to try to get me to be able to see something without my thick glasses. Pray for me please. I'm scared. It's a scary thing to have this big machine and some people you've met once cut and shape your eyes with lasers.

Cheerio, Love!

It's time for cheerios and she really likes them. She concentrates on perfecting that pincer grasp, working the hand-to-mouth sequence, and chewing practice for later molars.
I didn't know eating cheerios could be so scientific.

Yet Another

We left the house excited; the kids were excited because we were attending a birthday party that evening. I was excited because we were on our way to a scrapbooking gathering for adults – people that would have a real conversation with me. A conversation about more than toys and nose wipes and all of the other things mothers talk about with their young children during each day.
We arrive at the scrapbooking location and I discover that the baby has soiled her clothes; the cute “going to a birthday party” clothes that I had waited all day to put her in so they would be clean for the party. She had poop on the top and also on her pants. I located the extra onesie in the diaper bag (kept specifically for this purpose) and hoped that no one at the party would happen to notice she wasn’t wearing any pants.
We attended the birthday party, ate the pizza, sampled the cake, and helped open gifts. The baby dropped the apple juice on the floor, the lid burst open, and apple juice splattered all over the floor. A few minutes later she knocked over my cranberry juice, which made a large puddle on the table.
After the party, we drove back over to the scrapbooking gathering. As I was visiting with the scrapbookers, I noticed the baby had filled her diaper again. And yes, the onsie was soiled. So she went home in a diaper. And her shoes.

Laundry

My laundry line believes that I have a family of 10.

Bubbles

Soap bubbles provide hours of entertainment.

Hiking

My family, minus my husband, plus one of my brothers, hiking up to see a waterfall in the Montana mountains.

What was the highlight of the trip?
a) the beautiful waterfall
b) the friendly chipmunk that shared our trail mix
c) time spent with adventurous family members
d) watching Rob knock over a tree
e) the footbridge we crossed

Look, Mom! No Hands!

My son was recently blessed with a new bike from his grandma. He has thoroughly enjoyed it!
