Resourceful

My kids are resourceful. They often think of creative ways to solve their problems.

Example: The UPS man dropped a box by our house today. The kids wanted to open the box really, really bad, but they didn't have any scissors (the scissors are up very high and are only used at the kitchen table - this law was enacted after another creative problem was solved with scissors, trimmed hair, and a book cut to pieces) because their mom was doing the dishes and told them she would get the scissors after she was finished. Well, it must take their mom a long time to do the dishes, so the kids used their creative problems solving skills to come up with an alternative to scissors: a toy grain cart. They used the hitch of the grain cart to open both boxes (it was a box-in-a-box package).
I'm (usually) glad they are resourceful.
