Last spring, we decided to have our basement finished. This involves jackhammering out the whole basement floor and hauling it out, laying a whole new floor, and then doing the plumbing/
electrical/
carpentry part. The jackhammering has been done, so right now my basement floor resembles that of a rocky stream, covered in cement dust. There are piles of big chunks of cement, stacks of little chunks, and just chunks all over. I feel like a mountain climber when I carefully cross my basement to get meat out of the freezer.
