
My son rode with his dad this afternoon. When he got home, he rolled peas* on the living room rug, just like his dad does in the big fields.
*For you non-ag people, pea plants are not very tall, so they have to be combined just a few inches above the ground. In order for this to be done, the field has to be rolled (driven over with a heavy cylinder-shaped roller pulled by a tractor) to push all of the rocks in the ground so the combine doesn't eat (pick) up any rocks at harvest time. This is done before or very shortly after the pea seeds have been planted.

Somehow that picture reminds me of Rob. He really enjoyed driving and then parking the little cars in neat rows as if they were in a big parking lot. He liked to do it all by himself so nobody would mess it up.
